Magnetic locators are like metal detectors but more advanced. The magnetic locator's LCD indicator offers a digital bar graph display, in addition to a standard audio tone, to precisely identify the target object, especially in noisy, congested areas. The depth of pick up depends on the size of the object, nut it is able to locate items like marker stakes, cast iron pipe, manhole covers, and 5" pipe up to 8' deep. Large iron tanks/vessels may be located up to 15' deep.
